Guys party fought in the tunnel one of them said (guy in armor) he’d give the other ones the last of his power and black aura moved from him to them, knocked one down but a shadow of him came out and continued the fight

Guy in armor goes in next room with scroll case, casting some kind of spell starts disappearing, same [[note:sigil_of_the_ashen_coven|sigil/rune]] as seen before\\
Started turning into shadow as he began to disappear

  * His shadow jumped out as he died/ right before  
  * Shadow said he’d remember everyone in that room  
  * Flew off / disappeared

Body had jeweled [[faction:the_red_oracle|red oracle]] style mask, little different

  * Written on mask in glowing letters  
    * mask says this was the first blood next will fall within a day

Also had ashen black potion

  * Has scroll case

Captured one guy

  * He’s branded with the mark  
  * The mark turns out to be the [[note:sigil_of_the_ashen_coven|mark of the ashen coven]]  
  * His favorite color is blue

Cantor said ashen coven used this shadow magic stuff centuries ago

  * If soul is weak use shadow to take over bodies  
  * Little weaker after jump

What Vesper knew of the ashen coven via history:  
Ashen coven

  * Were around 400-500 years ago  
  * Massive uprising of ashen coven  
  * New type of magic (the soul magic party has been seeing with the shadow stuff)
  * Faded

Undead at tavern told Vesper to talk to [[character:lord_corvin_marrow|corvin]]

  * He asked how the investigation was going  
  * Told Vesper to talk to [[character:lady_maeva_marrow|Lady Maeva]] after the meet up with the faction leaders the next day

Sol informed Vesper that the orange cat moss has been looking for noticed [[faction:house_marrow|house marrow]] making undead or bone constructs from the local graveyards

  * [[faction:house_marrow|House marrow]] doesn’t usually source this stuff away from home

Scroll case has [[note:coronation_scroll|coronation scroll]] with talking image of emperor

  * Image was a post mortem message explaining the five things/items needed to become the emperor
